Spay and Neuter Services
Texas Humane Heroes headquarters location in Leander offers in-house, low-cost spay/neuters for dogs. Despite the discounted rate, your animals will be treated by licensed veterinarians and receive the same anesthesia that they would at a normal vet clinic. Take home pain medication for your pet is also available. Our public spay and neuter clinic operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and appointments are required.
Schedule a Spay/Neuter Appointment:
Proof of rabies is required at check-in (please keep in mind we do not accept Tags as proof). If you are unable to provide proof of the animal’s rabies vaccination, we offer low-cost rabies vaccination that can be administered during the procedure.
For more information please visit our dog spay and neuter information page prior to your appointment.
Texas Humane Heroes location at the Leander Adoption Center holds low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics on the fourth Saturday of every month* from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Check our calendar for the next date. No appointment necessary. *Nov/Dec Vaccination Clinics are held in conjunction on the 1st Saturday in December from 9 – 11am.

Frontline Flea/Tick Preventative is available for purchase at the office any time.
*We ask that you not arrive more than thirty minutes prior to the clinic as there is no place for you to wait prior to the check-in time of 9:00 A.M. Because our clinic is so popular, please understand that wait times can be long. We suggest you bring water for your pet. Remember all dogs MUST be on a leash and cats MUST be in separate carriers.
Please note: Texas Humane Heroes cannot accept feral or aggressive animals at the vaccination clinic. If you have to have your pet sedated in order to receive vaccines, we are unable to treat your pet. We apologize for any inconvenience.
